The Most Tranquil Places in Massachusetts

We know that people often think of Massachusetts as a place for historic tours, cultural walks and perhaps the one too many shopping trips. Sometimes, that isn’t exactly what we are looking for. Sometimes, we want to get away from it all in a Massachusetts rental tour bus....to be with nature, spend some quality time with family members and close friends. The good news is that there are plenty of places that we can get away to with or without bus charter, coach charter, shuttle bus, mini bus, school bus or party bus.
One of our favorite things to do when life gets a little overwhelming is to pack up and head over to Beech Forest for a quiet, calming walk. Even as you enter the place, the feeling of calm and comfort will envelope you in its warm embrace. The sound of happy, chirping birds, nuthatches, cardinals and whatever it is that calls this forest home welcomes you quite like nothing else. ‘It feels like walking into a brand new world where everything is perfectly fine. You don’t have to be anybody you don’t want to be and just be one with nature during the rental tour bus trip, it is the kind of place we should all spend some time in once in a while, just to recharge,’ shares Amanda, one of our travel buddies. What we do here is simply to reconnect with nature and also if you wish to, get some bird seeds and feed those friendly birds if you will.
Buzzards Bay of Massachusetts may only consist of not more than four thousand people in total, but it is we find this small gem of Massachusetts the kind of place we wish was available in many other states in the country. Buzzards Bay is one of the few communities located on the north of Cape Cod. Being a stone’s throw away from popular Cape Cod, we simply hopped onto the rental tour bus and asked the bus driver to bring us....pretty much, wherever he liked and that was how we discovered Buzzards Bay.
Imagine how awesome it would be to tell people that you come from Bliss Corner...and this is a real place in Massachusetts that we are talking about. It measures only about 5.2km in all and there are less than six thousand residents in Bliss Corner but it has all it needs as a community. It made us really proud to be a small part of the community even if our stay was just for one short night during our rental tour bus visit.
If you would like to explore Massachusetts the way we do, give Rental Tour Bus a call for more information about our charter bus, coach charter, mini bus, party bus or school bus. Having a reliable charter bus ground transportation makes your travel all the more comfortable and convenient, we promise you.

D’Amelio’s Off the Boat Italian & Seafood Restaurant

Sometimes, deciding on where to go to have dinner with friends can be a headache, especially when everyone’s undecided or have different taste buds. On top of that, having to ensure that everyone gets to the restaurant on time is also something to think about too. But, we have the solutions for you – if you are thinking or planning a dinner venue with your friends, may we suggest that you try out D’Amelio’s Off the Boat Italian & Seafood Restaurant and rent a tour bus to bring everyone there for a night of good food and fun?

However, there is one thing that you need to take note – you will have to first call up D’Amelio’s to make reservations for your dinner with your friends before you place the call to book for a Boston rental bus. The reason is that on weekends, D’Amelio’s is quite packed with diners; and some of them could be regulars to the restaurant too. Therefore, it would be wise if you called up D’Amelio’s first. As you enter into the restaurant with your friends, you will notice that the place is rather small compared to some other bigger and fancier restaurants, but don’t be fooled by the size of the place. Even though it is a small place, the staff is friendly and the food is really delicious. And the ambience of this place? It’s just fantastic as it makes one feel “right at home”.

Once you are seated at your table, you and your friends will now have the task at hand to decide on what to order from their menu. They do have daily specials, so you might want to check with the waiter before you decide on what to order. They also serve wine, but a word of caution though, the wine list is considerably small, but quite acceptable for many who have been to this place - whether it’s on their own or in a rented tour bus. If you are not too sure what you would like to eat, the waiters there are ever ready to help you to decide. We do know that their seafood is one of the favorites among their regular customers – especially their fried calamari with hot peppers and marinara sauce. If you and your friends prefer to eat without big crowds in a restaurant, we would suggest that you don’t come here on weekends but to make your trip here on a weekday instead. That way, you will have lesser crowds but the same attentiveness from the waiters themselves. This is definitely a place in Boston not to be missed.

The Old Atwood House Museum, MA

Sometimes, a trip down memory lane will help us to stop and take a look at life as how it was in the past and be thankful with what we have learned then and learn to be grateful with the present and anticipate the best for the future. If you have always enjoyed touring old, historical houses, then a trip to visit the Old Atwood House Museum at 347 Stage Harbor Rd, Chatham, MA in a MA rental tour bus is inevitable.

What was originally a discussion among six people of the Chatham Ladies’ Reading Club turned out to be a society that would soon preserve the records and artifacts related to the history of Chatham. The Chatham Historical Society was formed in 1923 and it was only 3 years later that they managed to get hold of the Atwood House. Other than adding on electricity to the house, the Old Atwood House remains unchanged from the time it was built and furnished – just like how it was during the 18th and 19th centuries. Every year, from the month of June until October, the Old Atwood House Museum is open for visitors via a guided tour, while from October 31st to May 31st, they have special group tours for students as well as organizations.

Inside the Old Atwood House Museum, visitors on rented tour buses will be able to see the some of the spectacular murals of Alice Stalknecht with a few rooms devoted to displaying the works of F. Spaulding Dunbar who designed and built boats in his own shop in Chatham, not forgetting the beautiful collection of miniature duck decoys and shell collection. The Atwood House went through a major expansion of restoration works and renovation that was completed in 2005, and they now have a rather large gallery that showcases the history of fishing in the area as well as another gallery that exhibits antique tool collection, and not forgetting, a Gift Shop that is packed with unique items that are mostly related to the museum’s collections.

For those who do not fancy visiting old homes for fear of sweating after all the walking, you will be thrilled to know that the Old Atwood House Museum is fully air-conditioned, so no more worries about sweaty armpits! They also have some special upcoming events for visitors such as the Haunted Happenings in October, Thanksgiving Weekend in November, and Hearthwarming (think Christmas!) in December, so if you have not yet plan any trips for these months, time to plan one to the Old Atwood House Museum soon – in a rented tour bus, that is!

Camp out at the Devil’s Hopyard State Park

Most state parks are open all year round and we dare say that any time is a good time to make a trip to a state park for some outdoor fun – be it hiking, jogging, walking, cycling, camping, picnicking and yes, even fishing! One of such a state park to go by renting one of our tour buses is the Devil’s Hopyard State Park located on 366 Hopyard Road, East Haddam, CT 06423.

If you are looking for a park for some outdoor activities especially fishing, why not rent a CT charter bus and head over to the Devil’s Hopyard State Park to have some peace and quiet time of catching some fishes by the stream? Not only will you be able to enjoy the surrounding nature, you may also be able to enjoy eating your catch too – if you don’t throw them back into the river after you have caught them, that is!

There are quite a few versions of stories of how Devil’s Hopyard State Park got its name and we are sure that as our CT rental tour bus driver sends you and your friends there, he may very well have his own version too. One of the versions that we have heard of is that there was once a farmer who went by the name Dibble and he had a garden growing hops used in the brewing of beer and somehow, over the years, Dibble’s Hopyard changed into Devil’s Hopyard. Upon investigations, there are records of some farmers who have hopyards in that area, but no record of anyone who owns a farm that goes by the name Dibble – interesting, isn’t it?

This year, Devil’s Hopyard Campground is open from April 19 right up to September 2 and they have about twenty one campsites in wooded settings – a great place for campers, especially the youths. But prior arrangements have to be made with the management and they have restrictions to the use of the campground too.

Generally, CT rental tour bus visitors to the Devil’s Hopyard State Park go there to cycle, hike, bird watch, for picnics, stream fishing and camping. But these are just some of the common activities at any park – if you enjoy painting, you can bring along your painting stuffs and paint away on the canvas as you immerse yourself with nature, who knows – you may just get inspired to paint the next big seller! Whatever it is that you choose to do at the park, we are sure that you will benefit much out of this trip – being surrounded by nature is definitely one way to de-stress! On top of that, you don’t even have to worry or stress about driving home after the trip – you will have the CT rental tour bus waiting to bring you home.

A beautiful weekend in Boston

It might be only two days out of your life but a weekend in Boston is a rental tour bus destination almost 400 years in the making. Whether you're traveling by yourself or with family, there's not only a history lesson waiting for you around every corner but a wide variety of cosmopolitan restaurants, unique shops and beautifully landscaped public parks for strolls, picnics and bike rides. Plan a visit to Boston with the services of a bus, coach bus, party bus, mini bus, passenger coach or school bus rented from Rental Tour Bus.
Take yourself on a self-guided tour of Boston's most significant historic landmarks by following the red painted line on the sidewalk that wends through the city. The Freedom Trail takes approximately three hours to walk longer if you linger at every attraction along the way and includes sights such as the Old North Church, Paul Revere's House, the site of the Boston Massacre, and the USS Constitution. Hop on/hop off trolley tours are available if you'd prefer riding to walking. Kids will enjoy the Boston Duck Tours, taken on World War II amphibious vehicles that go from land straight into the Charles River. If it's a hair-raising adventure you're seeking after dark while on a Boston rental tour bus visit, the Ghosts and Gravestones tour won't disappoint.
Grab your camera and explore Beantown's distinctive neighborhoods with your rental tour bus, such as Beacon Hill, Back Bay, Cambridge, the North End, Chinatown and Fort Point. In addition to ethnic eateries, bookstores, museums and antique shops, you'll find period architecture homes that are open for public tours. Of particular note is the Nichols House Museum on Mt. Vernon Street, one of many designed in the early 19th century by Charles Bulfinch. Bulfinch also was the designer of the Massachusetts State House.
Entertainment options abound in Boston during your rental tour bus visit. Enjoy an evening of music by the Boston Pops or the Boston Symphony Orchestra, catch a performance of the Boston Ballet, or take your pick of classics, Broadway musicals and new theatrical works at venues such as the Shubert Theatre, the American Repertory Theatre, The Wang Center for the Performing Arts, the Colonial Theatre, and The Lyric Stage. While Boston nightlife is more subdued than other cities of comparable size, wine bars, comedy clubs, hotel cocktail lounges, and neighborhood pubs and oyster bars offer a pleasant venue to unwind. Many of the lounges and wine bars offer live music on weekends featuring up-and-coming local musicians. Boston also is where you'll find the Bull and Finch Pub, the original bar that inspired the set of "Cheers." After you scarf down a "Norm Burger," grab the microphone for some karaoke.
Boston is sure not to disappoint when you visit with a rental tour bus, with the help of Rental Tour Bus. Take the time to organize your rental tour bus trip with Rental Tour Bus, and enjoy a fun filled and fuss free weekend in Boston.

Elizabeth Park Rose Garden (Hartford CT)

Space is never an issue in Hartford, it has been blessed with loads of sunshine, rain and amazingly beautiful landscape. Therefore, when you have the time for a vacation with the kids and your family members, be sure to take the rented charter bus to precious little Hartford gems like the Elizabeth Park Rose Garden. The visit should be enjoyed together with your loved ones - this is simply the best kind of relaxing reward that nature has to give you. Breathe in the tantalizing scent of rose in the air while languidly learning more about the many different types and colors of the rose plant during the journey.

The Elizabeth Park Rose Garden is the oldest municipally-run rose garden in the country and in the two and a half acre park, there are more than eight hundred different varieties of the plant. At the point of writing this article, there are approximately fifteen thousand plants maintained in the park itself. That is a sheer astonishing number, to be honest, for a rose park of that size. The organizers and managers of the park have put in a whole lot of effort to ensure that each and every single budding rose is well taken care of, and lots of information is provided to help tour bus visitors like yourself come off more learned than before. With a more profound understanding about the origins of the flower, one would have a deeper appreciation for it when purchasing them at your local florist back home.

The Elizabeth Park Rose Garden is also a hotspot for photographers because the garden’s ground is simply covered with carpets of roses and they can be seen climbing the walls and fences too!

Interesting, learn more about the public All America Test Gardens while you are there. The test gardens are places where new species of plants are tested and grown. The Elizabeth Park Rose Garden is the only test garden in the country that has gone public, the others remain closed. So, the chance to see how things are done under the All America Test program is a precious one. Once a new variety is tested and approved, they are then introduced to the public.

The garden gives off an air of peace and warmth while the staff are understanding, patient and willing to help you explore the garden in a more timely manner. The amenities are complete and well-maintained too. The main garden area shows you the more ‘modern’ type of roses; if you want to see the older types, head over to the Heritage Rose Garden instead.

Planning Precision

The logistics of traveling in a group demands that suitable group transportation be rented, and this is where Rental Tour Bus comes in. Traveling in a group puts you in close proximity with a group of people you may or may not know every well. Thus, the need to have as few distractions or potential problems as possible. With this in mind, there are some tips to consider when traveling in a group.
Communication is important. At the beginning of the trip, or the day, get everyone together to plan the rental tour bus vacation itinerary. You will find as many different suggestions as you have members in the group. Try to go for a majority consensus. Discuss starting times, meal times, breaks, re-group times and places. Once you get all this sorted out, you will find that your trip, or your day, goes that much smoother.
Share what you know. Some in your charter bus tour group may have done some research, others may have first hand experience of the places you are visiting or reliable information from other visitors. Take this into account. Small nuggets of information can pay dividends in everyone’s enjoyment of the bus rental tour trip. If you think I’m kidding, think about this. If you have female members in your group, a small thing like clean toilets can become a big issue.
The Must list. Everyone who visits a specific place or wants to participate in an activity, will have a must-do list. Nothing disappoints more than saving up for a major rental tour bus holiday, and not being able to do the one thing on your bucket list that you promised yourself you would do. Make this clear to the group, and try to arrange compromises and make allowances so that everyone gets to do some of the things on their lists.
Moving around. Transporting a group is difficult. Hiring a charter bus from a company like Rental Tour Bus is the ideal way of having reliable ground transportation with the absolute minimum of hassle. You only need to pay one invoice at the end of the trip, and you will not have to worry about being fleeced by unscrupulous taxi drivers. Having your own hire or chartered bus also allows you to set your own schedule and itinerary, instead of being at the mercy of scheduled services.
Speak, and listen. When planning a charter bus rental group vacation trip or itinerary, speak up to make your wishes heard. This does not mean riding roughshod over everyone else’s needs and wants. It means letting the group know that there are certain things they need to be aware of, like you needing to call back home at a certain time, or that you’re running short of cash. Conversely, listen to others, and listen well. For example, if someone in the group says they have a special dietary requirement, try to be considerate and accommodate them.
Always have an alternative. This is very important. The place you may want to visit might be closed due to unforeseen circumstances. The attraction may be full, or over crowded. Things may have broken down, roads or access may be closed. There are a myriad of things that can go wrong on a group tour. So planning for a backup in case your first choice does not happen is a good idea. This is where having your own charter or rental bus comes in handy. A word to the driver, and away you go to your alternate destination. You waste the minimum of time, and ensure the maximum amount of group satisfaction, courtesy of your foresight in choosing the friendly, efficient, personalized services of Rental Tour Bus.

How to Survive a Couples Road Trip

Going on a road trip can sometimes be the best experience ever or a nightmare. Things can change for all sorts of reasons, especially if you’re travelling with a loved one. Here are some travel tips for couples from Rental Tour Bus, with or without charter bus, rental coach, party bus, mini bus or school bus form us, honestly speaking.
What’s your soundtrack
It’s always advisable to bring music along when traveling in the charter bus, party bus or coach charter. It distracts from the monotony and fills in the spaces when no one is talking. As couples you sometimes end up sharing a music player so choose a share playlist that both of you will enjoy equally.
Live To Eat
The most memorable part of many trips comes from the food that you get when you are hopping from one destination to another in the comfort of the party bus. But that also means it can create the most unpleasant experiences. So don’t skimp on food. Fast food can be a fast way to kill the mood of the whole trip. Slow down and enjoy the local delicacies together for a culinary adventure you’ll never forget.
Use Your Smart Phone Smartly
Technology is godsend today. Use your smart phone or tablet to access the internet to see what sort of hidden wonders your journey will take you through. That tucked away curio shop or quaint café are sometimes open secrets that you can find online.
Dress Comfortably
One of the best things about traveling in a pair is having someone to look after your bag when you go to the washroom if the party bus, charter bus, coach bus or coach charter that you rented does not have one. The other is that you don’t have to dress to impress. So dress comfortably. Drawstring pants and loose tops afford you comfort even if your setting may not. Don't forget to layer so you can adjust your level of warmth to suit your location as well.
Helen Keller once said, "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing." With Rental Tour Bus we say that you might as well make your adventure more comfortable.

Top Three Cheap Eats In Dallas TX

There is a myriad of choices when it comes to cheap eats in Dallas TX. As compared to eating and dining out in many other parts of the country, eating out in Dallas is comparatively more affordable. Our tour bus rental customers contend that Dallas offer up many more New American restaurants, diners and cafes in recent years and we can’t wait for you to try them all!
Take The Mercury Grill in Dallas as an example...this is where Executive Chef Chris Ward shares his amazing culinary skills with the locals, food lovers, writers and critics, and tourists in a very delightful diner. To keep their fans fascinated with the food, the chef rotates, changes and constantly changes the menu in order to bring something new to the patrons regularly.
Located along Lower Greenville Ave is a nice little nook called The Grape. The Grape offers patrons a very romantic setting where people can enjoy both the atmosphere, good food, fantastic service and reasonable pricing all at the same time. If unsure about how to pair your food with your wine, they may be able to help you find the perfect one to match your main course.
For a taste of exceptional New American menu, give City Café a shot because they have been serving up a storm in Dallas for more than one and a half decade…and counting. The atmosphere is very laid-back and relaxed so that patrons can relax and enjoy more than two hundred different types of dishes, desserts and drinks on their menu.
There you have it – three top diners in Dallas TX. And remember, if you are heading over for a company dinner, event, corporate function or even if it is a wedding dinner, please do give us a call. We would love to be your tour bus rental company of choice for your large event.
